3T Strada Road Bike Review – 1×11, disc brakes and wide tyres

I’ve been lucky enough to ride the brand new 3T Strada, a bike that throws convention out of the window – here’s how I got on.

What do you think of this new bike? Love to hear your thoughts in the comments below

Giovanni Brotto says:

Hi, congratulation for your video and your bike! Well, looking your front tire, it seem that your front clincher is installed in the opposite side, please control the arrow rotation. Have a good day!

karl Mallyon says:

Massimo Todaro says:

Sami Lampinen says:

Hi David! Great review! Whats your bb center to top pf the saddle height? And if you dont mind, how tall are you? I am thinkin should I go M or L …

romano mozer says:

If you want to have a 3T like at a more acceptable price , maybe not as good quality … http://www.velobuildmall.com/velobuild-2019-carbon-fiber-road-frame-disc-brake-28c-tire_p0111.html

choski76 says:

The clearance between tire Nd frame seem so close, I’d worry if something small and sharp was caught in there and slice the tire. Or if something larger were caught and created heavy friction. And as a non racer, would it scratch my bike. Otherwise, it’s awesome and unique looking

steve van arden says:

If you’re going to whisper please get a microphone audio is a very important component of a review.

mikeygboy says:

Great review. Thx. Now that it’s been many months, how has it held up? Did u get scratches or frame issues due to tight tire clearance? Thx

roomservicetaco says:

I like the idea of this bike, but what, exactly, does it get you? The Strada’s 1x and tube design is supposed to be lighter and more aero, but this bike is 600g heavier than other bikes of similar price/race quality and, according to your review, the 3T is “as aero” as the others, not more aero. Why would someone not just get a Specialized or Trek? They’d save weight, be as aero, and have the advantages of more available gear ratios.

Banzai83 says:

super nice bike. One question, what tire size and rim combo are you using.

Kari Kepala Gajah says:

You sound so polite : D

Paul Unnasch says:

Super cool ride!

Although this is what irks me about Shimano: there is so clearly a market for 1x systems yet they won’t manufacture single, narrow-wide rings or road derailleurs that will accept anything larger than like a 32.

Yes, you can make it work, obviously. But you have to buy a third-party brand chainring and then pair your 2×11 shifters (rendering your front shifter an expensive waste) to a MTB derailleur? COME ON SHIMANO

Matisse Etienne says:

David which Enve wheels are you using on this bike?
